Thinking of trying SAP as a career option?? Well, then you are on the right page!!!
SAP stands for Systems Application and Products in Data Processing. SAP is the fourth largest software company in the world.
SAP currently rules the ERP industry and provides a system for handling all resources of the enterprise such as HR, Sales and Distribution, Business Intelligence, Finance and Accounting, Materials Management, Project Management etc.
SAP along with its modules is used in over 120 countries by 15 million people. As far as India is concerned, SAP is a market leader with its ERP solutions. It generates a lot of jobs with good salaries for IT professionals.
HOW TO GET JOBS WITH SAP?
Don't get disheartened if you are not a science student or an Engineer. SAP is not restricted to IT professionals, engineers or people holding degree in Computers. It can be learned by anyone who has basic computer skills with the help of SAP certification courses. These courses are provided by SAP certified institutions which are present all over the globe.
These institutions start from basic and cover all the aspects of desired module which you want to learn. It just needs patience, dedication and time.
After certification, you can appear for an interview, most companies demand candidates with A+ or A certification.
Quick Tip: According to me, people with no-IT background or those who have less knowledge of programming should move to functional side inside of technical one so that they can get acquainted with the system and then jump to coding if they want to.
GETTING STARTED WITH SAP
SAP works with Java, Javascript, HTML and ABAP. All the fiori part, which is the front end part is designed with Javascript. The future plans of SAP are configuring and taking the whole system into cloud. Soon, this will be launched in India too.
In my next post, I will be discussing the functional as well as technical side of the product and how they differ from each other.
